Robert Maynard Hutchins describes it as "The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives." We should give our youth the way to educate themselves. Edward Everett said that "Education is a better safeguard of liberty than a standing army."
Importance of Education:
We all know the importance of education. It is the most important aspect of any nation's survival today. Education builds the nations; it determines the future of a nation. ISLAM also tells us about Education and its importance. The real essence of Education according to ISLAM is "to know ALLAH" but I think in our country we truly lost. Neither our schools nor our madrassa's (Islamic Education Centres) are truly educating our youth in this regard. In schools, we are just preparing them for "Money". We aren't educating...show more content...
We are only increasing the burden of the books for our children and just enrolling them in a reputed, big school for what, just for social status??? On the other hand in our madrassas we are preparing people who finds very difficult to adjust in the modern society. Sometimes it seems that they are from another planet. A madrassa student can't compete even in our country then the World is so far from him. He finds very difficult to even speak to a school boy. It is crystal clear that Islamic Education is necessary for Muslims but it is also a fact that without modern education no one can compete in this world. There are many examples of Muslim Scholars who not only study the Holy Quraan but also mastered the other subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy and many more, with the help of Holy Quraan. I think with the current education system we are narrowing the way for our children instead of widening it. There is no doubt that our children are very talented, both in schools and in madrassas, we just need to give them
The Importance Of Education
The planet is plagued by ignorance and the only vaccine to fight against it and make a difference is education. It means being free of poverty and from the common stereotypes and labels. We must educate ourselves in order to run away from these things. As Nelson Mandela states "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". This quote illustrates the significance of education in the world, and how with it can potentially change the turbulent world we live in. It is how we're going to break all barriers between each other, uniting us all as one In order for people to stop being unaware they must learn. They must be willing to listen first and talk last. People base their thoughts on ignorance, not willing to learn from others. Activists wonder how our nation will progress as a whole if we don't attempt to learn from one another? Learning on your own is very important, but learning through others is even better. More thoughts, ideas and opinions are being expressed if we learn and teach other people. A lifelong process, I've come to the understanding that education can start from anywhere, you just have to look for it. It isn't innate, or inherited, it is absorbed through our parents, peers and teachers as we grow and progress through the journey we all know as life. The more we expose ourselves to new and interesting things the more educated and well–rounded we become. It helps us grow, mature and useful citizens. Learning different

Fun and Adventure
People view formal education in a negative light. This is schooling where people only look at voluminous books, boring teachers and hard exams. Education is actually fun and adventurous. You learn about new things, meet new people and pursue new interests. It gives you a chance to interact with people other than your neighbors and family members. It also provides an escape for those who suffer from stressful situations at home. You should adopt a positive attitude towards education. This attitude will help you see the fun in education. Adopt it today.
Build a Network
You need friends who care about you. Finding good friends is not easy. It takes time, patience and perseverance. Experience is usually the best way of finding good friends. Education allows you to gain this experience by interacting with people within formal and informal settings. You know people better through these experiences. This helps you to choose a close group of good friends. This group will then become your network within society's entangled web of networks. You can call upon this network in times of trouble. You will find it hard to build a network of friends and colleagues without education. This means that you should pursue education as much as you can.

Children do not seem to have a sense of future and they often live in the present which is valuable because they are still young. Schooling puts pressure on their future because they are candidates of the future and their adult life is on hold. Though children are young to yet decide their future, they should have the options and experiences to have references for their ideal adult life. Dewey puts pressure on teachers have a duty to facilitate the students to help discover what they are interested in. By finding students' interest, teachers should teach their students in the idea play so that students do not seem to be forced to learn something but rather it is because they want to learn. To add on, he believes that children should be making the choices through experiences and emphasizes "hand–on" learning which further indicates teaching in play and having experiences. Dewar uses the phrase "think for oneself" to the ideal education system, a person doing an action based on their own decisions without the help or influences of others which means that the proper way of teaching is, teachers aren't supposed to feed children the answers but rather children are suppose to come up with an answer but the teacher is there to guide you. every individual within themselves have untrained skills but are waiting for it be released or be stimulated. This relates back to Kliebard idea of having children in programs set for a specific job but if they have specific jobs that do not need

The Importance of Education
Why do we say that everyone must obtain an education to be successful in life? This is one of many questions that people ask about education. Some people ask: what does acquiring an education do for someone that just wants to go to work after he or she finishes high school? He or she may think that it is possible just to graduate from high school and start working. Well it is possible, in some occupations but for those people who want to have a large amount of money and have the best job, well they need an education. I will talk about many reasons that an education is important and many things that will affect his or her life...show more content...
People that have an education make more money than those people who do not have an education. It is often possible that someone that does not have an education can be making more than someone that does. I know someone that owns his own business because he took it over when he was young and he does not have any education, and he is making more than my aunt who has an education. This does not always happen and for the most part everyone in this world should get an education. In some jobs you are paid by your education. Like teachers can get paid up to almost $30 dollars an hour if they have a master's degree. Sometimes it does depend on what district and school you are teaching in.
There are more advantages to having an education than there are in failing to have an education. My advice to everyone is that you go out and get an education because it will be worth it in the end. I know that for a while everyone was saying that as long as you have a high school diploma you can make the money you want, that is not true. We should know that is not true because to make the money a doctor makes you have to have an education to be a doctor to make the same money as he or she does. We should also know that we cannot make money and keep a job without having the best education there is possible. I have a chart that will show some of the advantages to having an education and the disadvantages to failing to

Education is an ultra–important aspect of our country's success; it has been from the beginnings of our nation. We live in an ever–changing society on a global level, and the quality of education we need to survive and thrive in the world today is growing every day. Our nation has always been a part of education growth, but we deserve the proper education system in order to stay caught up with other education systems in our world today; why shouldn't the United States be at the top of global education and growth? Education will always be a pressing issue for our nation, and we need to tackle this obstacle in a practical way.
The Practical Idealism Party's stance on education is as follows: every individual has the right to a healthy and beneficial education that prepares them for whatever they do throughout their lives. We believe in a more individualized approach to education, particularly at the high school level. It is better for each person to be prepared for their individual life than it is for everyone to be educated the same way, like a cattle feedlot. Each student should be able to learn specific to their goals and aspirations; a future journalist should not be in Trigonometry just to fulfill a class requirement. Likewise, a hopeful physicist doesn't need advanced English, or Ancient History III. We all have Google in our pockets; it is no longer necessary for us to "know" everything. Under the Practical Idealism Education Platform, our students will have been

Education and learning is one of the most important processes in today's society.
Today's youth are tomorrow's teachers. In the "banking method" or education by memorization, the student's are not being taught; they are only expected to memorize the material, which is not actually a learning process. Although there are a lot of misconceptions to the "Banking method", I think that there are also a lot of good to this method as well. I think that the teacher's job is to fill the students with their knowledge, but I don't think this is the only job of the teacher. The teacher also needs to present the material in a way that is interesting to the students. The teachers should not only give the information and...show more content...
Mathematics is one subject that can be used by the "banking method" because in math memorization is a big part of the way you learn how to do certain problems. Everything in math is pretty much cumulative and therefore memorizing the material helps you to be able to do harder and more advanced problems later on.
Education is the key to advancing in life in this day and age. In order for you to have a good paying job, you need to have graduated not only from high school but also from college. Today more and more people are looking for workers that have a college degree in order to fulfill their roles in the job world. I know that I was looking for a job over the summer and because I haven't graduated from college my options were very limited. I pretty much had to choose from a restaurant business or a clothing store or something along that line, where you don't make much more than minimum wage.
I feel like in order to fill the roles at a job that I am majoring in, I need to be able to know the material and not just be familiar with it. I am going to school to major in nursing and I know that I wouldn't personally want my nurse to just have memorized the key terms of nursing. I want my nurse to know what she is doing and to be able to trust her judgments. Nurses have to have a lot of knowledge about the human body and what it does, and this is necessary in order for them to perform what they do.

Impact of Education Essay
Impact of Education Education is one of the most essential necessities of a personal life because without education, we would not have a brighter future. In two essays "Learning to Read and Write" and "A Homemade Education", Malcolm and Douglass describe what they have gone through in order to become more successful in their pursuits in life. While Malcolm X lived part of his life in prison, he spent his time writing numerous definitions from a dictionary amongst the walls and tables. The elements of the dictionary motivated him to not only become a free man, but a well educated one at that. Douglass, who also taught himself, began his life in slavery. Another impact of achieving an education is that it brings knowledge to one's life. Knowledge is a powerful benefit for people in their understandings. Both Douglass and Malcolm also recognized the power of knowledge that impacted them into following education. With great effort, Malcolm was fascinated with the knowledge he gained "I could for the first time pick up a book and read and now begin to understand what the book was saying"(81). He made a progress in reading to understand the contents of a book even if it is the first time he picked it up. Knowledge also assisted Douglass in finding the injustice of slavery and motivating him to gain his freedom. In the essay "Learning to Read and Write", he states that "the more I read, the more I was lead to abhor and detest my enslavers. I could regard them in no other light than a band of successful robbers, who had left their home, and gone to Africa, and stolen us from our homes and in a stargerland reduced us to slavery."(64). He became cognizant of what fate was in hold for the enslavers. That idea impacted him to gain more knowledge and escape slavery to share his knowledge and what must be done. Today, people who want to gain knowledge have to go to school for their education. People that attend are taught the essential lessons that they need in order to move forward in life. Out of everyone in my family, I am the only one given the chance to go to college.

According to UNESCO (2014) education is seen as key to enhance the capabilities of people. Education also widens people's choices in order to appreciate the sovereignties that make life beautiful and worthwhile. Initially, the skills provided by basic education, such as being able to read and write, are valuable in their own right. Then, education can upgrade the undesirable features of life. Moreover, education has a powerful part in empowering the people who grieve from social and economic depreciation. Technically speaking, localization is the process of adapting and relating the content of the curriculum and the process of teaching and learning to local condition, environment, and resources. Meanwhile, contextualization is the process of presenting lesson in meaningful and relevant context based on previous experiences and real–life situations. In commonality, both adhere in making the lesson flexible, fit, creative, relevant, meaningful, and adaptive to students' level of understanding and instructional needs.
The concept of localization and contextualization falls on the idea that students learned best when experiences in the classroom have meanings and relevance in their lives. Things students do and associated with them are the learning that last forever. Applying the rule for learning by doing, applied learning, and manipulative learning is also a must in executing localization and contextualization in teaching. If students were put in an actual learning environment letting them to manipulate, relate, and adapt to various learning opportunities and resources available within the locality or community, profound learning will be assured and

Having an education is one of the most important things to have no matter where you are. My entire life I have envisioned myself as a teacher. When I was young I would line up my stuff animals and give them math problems to solve. As I grew older my passion never faded. In middle school I began volunteering as an assistant soccer coach where I would sit and help teach new skills, from there in high school I did my student internship at a local middle school. Not only did I have experience in these classes, I also was able to sit in my Mothers middle school math classes. So when I got to college I knew that I wanted to follow in my mom's footsteps. Currently, being in my field study and middle education classes I have learned that becoming a teacher is one of the most rewarding and influential careers someone could choose. Middle school aged students are going through the transitional years of their lives. These students are changing provocatively, whether it be physical, intellectually morally, psychologically or socially, these changes will impact who they will be in the future. While students are going through these changes they need a role model in their lives to represent and guide them through these challenges. Each student is changing at different rates. Boys and girls are both beginning puberty at this point of their life, their bodies are changing rapidly physically, and new things are going on with their bodies that they have not experienced before. These changes

Education should be a part of everyone's life. A good education offers something for everyone, whether it be on the simple level or a more complex one. Education should provide provide an opportunity for students to develop a strong sense of creativity, a high self esteem, and a life long respect for learning. Education should help students establish a strong sense of confidence in themselves. A teacher will be one factor that helps a student learn and progress along their way through life. Teachers combine their own ideas with other people's to be able to give a good education to their students.

Progressiveness brings up the ideas that education should be tested by experiments and that learning is rooted in questions developed by the learners. Progressive style also emphasizes that the school should actively prepare students for change.
Essentialists bring up the point of the educational goal. They believe that a good education should transmit one's cultural heritage and develops them into good citizens. Humanism is concerned with enhancing the innate goodness of the individual, which is the mail qualities the teacher wants to bring out.
My philosophical view is based upon many things. When teaching, there should be hands on experience for the students. The curriculum should be the basics and whatever else interests the students should make out the rest of their schedule. Teaching should not be student centered or teacher centered. I believe it should be a combination of both. There should be a median somewhere. The highest thing on my list is what the humanists have to say. They believe every teacher should be a positive. A positive teacher is one that can be a role model for the students. They also build self

Why school? Throughout life, we always tend to wonder whether or not having an education is beneficial and can end up leading to a life of success. As students, we always search for the deliverance that will help us to answer this question. When we are young, we view school as a place to meet new people and a place that we go to have fun. But once we grow out of this stage, we wonder what the true reasoning behind education actually is. We as students tend to outgrow the day to day lifestyle of forcing ourselves out of bed every morning to go to a place we have no idea to interpret what we are learning and how to apply it to our lives. As a student, I went through a day to day debate always questioning if education was something that I truly needed. But, as I got older I realized that I was going to school every day, and getting good grades, but I didn't know why I was doing it. I was no longer that young child who loved going to school, I turned into a student who began to dread the mere thought of stepping foot into a school. Throughout my earlier years of high school, I began to lose interest in my education, due to the fact that I believed that everything I was learning wouldn't help to prepare me for what I was planning to do with my life. I never found most things worthy of my time because I felt as if they wouldn't prepare me for the outside world.

Education has always been a crucial part of society for the past centuries. Some believe that our education is a privilege. Some believe that our education is a right. Some believe that our education is an obligation. The only obligation we might have towards education is to treat it as a privilege as well as a right, but certainly not an obligation to have an education. Education has been the basis for the success we see in our parents, our teachers, and more importantly, ourselves.

This is true because you cannot be denied an education based on your nationality, skin color, hair color, or any physical features, even being handicapped. It is the right of the individual to seek an education, as long as the individual is fully capable financially and mentally. Let say ?Melissa,? a fictional fourteen–year–old African–American girl, wants to attend Hinsdale Central. A fairly good school, if I do say so myself, for a student to attend preceding college, as I have. Let?s say Hinsdale Central refuses to let Melissa attend their school for various reasons, such as her skin color. It?s Melissa?s constitutional right to contest this decision by the fact that the school denied her admittance based on her skin color, which is discrimination. However, the school does not have to admit Melissa, even though she is completely qualified. The individual does not have the right to an education, but rather has the right to seek and education. The individual can only have a right to an education if the school offering the education refuses them based on physical features.
What about obligations, is an education one of them? Education can be an obligation in a personal way, but education is certainly not an obligation to receive in the general aspect. If a person feels obligated about their education, they are most likely not going to be motivated. Motivation comes from the parents, the teachers, and the

College drop outs have been glorified by society. The likes of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, and Mark Zuckerberg are highly patronized for their success. They are known for being successful people and they were able to achieve their success even if they did not get good grades in school, nor did they finish going to school. It can be said that they were not academic achievers. Nonetheless, the legacy of their success continues to prevail. They have reached the kind of success that everyone aspires to have. Often, their stories are used to encourage and convince people that doing well in school is no longer important to be successful.
Many articles have also been written around the idea that academic achievements or grades do not matter. An article argued that college does not teach you how to think and the only thing it guarantees is a bill (Centeno, 2017). Another article states that discipline, good habits, and goals determine an individual's success. It argues that these traits do not need a formal education to acquire (Anastasia, 2017). These are only a few of the articles that aim to convince people that education is not important in attaining success. However, does this mean that we should no longer value education? Does it still matter if we achieve academically?

The Importance Of Education
A school is a system designed to provide a learning space for people under the influence of educational professionals. For centuries, education has played a major role in developing and changing the world. Therefore, children are obligated to go to school at a very young age to expose them to new skills, ideas, and knowledge. School is to provide the individual with the opportunity to further develop and learn their purpose in society. All around the world people are taught the same thing but feel unsatisfied and useless, are judged and labeled as a letter or number, yet for some people this system is beneficial for them. Albert Einstein once said, "Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid". Einstein meant that everyone is a genius but that the attitude one has can be successful at reaching their true potential. The school system has many responsibilities when it comes to students feeling useless. Many students around relate to that fish always climbing up the tree and never finding their gift, feeling stupid, and believing they are useless. For over decades the school system has not changed at all we still have educational malpractice which is when a teacher stands in front of a class and teaches the same thing, the same way to different students with different strengths, needs, and dreams. In a world of increasing complexity, there is little critical thinking expected of them

Education is a human right, it provides security, and gives us knowledge of the world around us. It is a human right included in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Article 26; "Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages." Education provides security in many forms. Without education, you do not have security. Education provides security by being well aware and learning information about the world around you. If you did not know what has been happening around you, how to protect yourself, or how to read you would not feel secure. Education intertwines with security which is also a human right. Article 3; "Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person." Education gives us knowledge of the world around us. When it comes to the students needs, one must address socio economic status and workload. The United States of America is a developed country that advocates and encourages education for its entire people. As a matter of fact, it is getting much more difficult for people who do not have a GED or high school diploma to get a good paying job. Here are some reasons why: one, society encourages diversity, but does not follow up. According to the article "The Role of Student–Teacher Ratio in Parents' Perceptions of Schools' Engagement Efforts", "Students from ethnic and racial minority backgrounds tend to have less educated parents, come from lower SES" (Rodriguez, 2014). The question is not how this impacts schools but what can we do to help these students be less affected. Some people did not have the privilege to go to school or to continue to school, therefore it may not be as important for their children to be educated, or they cannot help their children completely to receive a good education. There is encouragement for schools to be more diverse, but the reality is, not enough is done too help minority students. It is known that parents with a higher socio economic status, can be more capable when interacting with schools and having an impact. Wealthier people tend to have the upper hand, but why? It should not be this way and society should be united so that it
