Describe My Favorite Food
My favorite food of all time is my grandma's oatmeal scotchies! Oatmeal scotchies are regular oatmeal cookies with butterscotch chips baked into them. They are super delicious! When my grandma first wanted me to try the oatmeal scotchies I didn't think I would like them because I thought they were just oatmeal cookies. But I ended up loving them! Once when my friends and I had one of our last basketball league games, it was a day before my birthday so I brought oatmeal scotchies and everyone loved them! Oatmeal scotchies are so good!
Another one of my favorite foods is my mom and dad tacos! They are so yummy! When my mom and dad make tacos they have a bunch of different toppings to go in the taco. We always have lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions, peppers, sour cream, salsa and of course the taco meat! It is all so colorful. They also make nacho cheese and we have corn chips to go with the tacos. My Grandpa even bought us special taco plates because I love tacos so much. The plates are orange, my mom and I's favorite color, and they have ridges in them to help your taco stand up and a place for your nachos and sides. I love tacos!!
I really like when my grandma and I make homemade pizza. It tastes so good! We make the pizza dough from scratch, well my Grandma does, and then we spoon on the sauce and sprinkle on the cheese and last but not least the pepperonis! Lots of pepperoni. We make the pizza around Christmas time and have dinner over

–Here are some guidelines for writing a descriptive essay:
Take time to brainstorm
If your instructor asks you to describe your favorite food, make sure that you jot down some ideas before you begin describing it. For instance, if you choose pizza, you might start by writing down a few words: sauce, cheese, crust, pepperoni, sausage, spices, hot, melted, etc. Once you have written down some words, you can begin by compiling descriptive lists for each one.
Use clear and concise language.
This means that words are chosen carefully, particularly for their relevancy in relation to that which you are intending to describe.
Choose vivid language.
Why use 'horse' when you can choose 'stallion'? Why not use 'tempestuous' instead...show more content...
The chicken is a substantial filling for pasta. My philosophy is no meal is complete without a thick savory meat. There are many ways to cook chicken to add into fettuccini pasta. My favorite is Cajun deep fried chicken breast that's tender and juicy, cut into thin strips. It has a crunchy golden brown spicy flavored batter. I prefer my chicken cooked to be crispy on the outside, yet not too dry so that the inner part will be stringy in the inside (kind of like
My Favorite Food
One of the foods I enjoy is chinese food, still to this day i love it. If I could i would eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner. However, i know if i would eat it on a regular basis, soon i would get tired of it. Orange chicken was the light of my day, it was what i looked forward to when eating chinese food. Now i can not help but to ignore it, at all cost if necessary. I distinctly remember the feeling i had that day i ate one of my favorite foods. It was about four years ago, 2013, i was 13 and in the 8th grade. It was my first time at ever at Six Flags, i was scared out of my mind and felt a little anxious. We stopped to eat late in the afternoon, we went to the closest place we could fine, which happened to be Panda Express. Panda express is one of my favorite chinese places to eat so i had no problem in eating there. I bought chow mein, beef and broccoli, and orange chicken; i ate the orange chicken first because it is my favorite. However, that's the only thing i ate because i started to feel sick and experience stomachaches. I went the rest of that day in pain and in discomfort, until i eventually threw up right before a ride. Now every time i see orange chicken i get a feeling of sickness and tend to avoid eating it at all costs. The unconditioned stimulus is the orange chicken, i had never had a problem or bad experience with it. The unconditioned response would be the sick feeling i got for eating it, i have eaten orange chicken multiple times and never gotten sick.

The original sweet and sour pork has a bright red–orange color, and a delicious sweet and sour taste. The ingredients for the dish are simple. It includes pork tenderloin, egg white, and the condiments includes salt, vinegar, wine, starch, tomatoes, and sugar. The sauce is the pith of the dish. My Favorite Meal Pad Thai
What is your favorite meal, and how does it reflect various developments in the history of agriculture, and larger environmental history?
Pad Thai is my favourite meal to enjoy during both lunch and dinner times. It is notably one of the most famous Thai dishes outside of Thailand and can be found served in all Thai restaurants and eateries in Singapore. It is a savoury dish which consists of rice noodles stir–fried with eggs, shrimps, fried tofu cubes, garlic, red chilli peppers, seasoned with fish sauce, tamarind pulps, palm sugars and served with chopped roast peanuts and lime slices. Other than these staple ingredients, condiments such as bean sprouts, coriander leaves and proteins such as slices of beef, chicken or pork may also be added to one's tasting. Pad Thai is not only tasty but is an example of how Columbian Exchange influenced and provided for the food ingredients found in pad Thai and the cultural perception which we have for Thai cuisine today. The popularisation of pad Thai as Thailand's national dish also reflected how food could be closely linked to the country's economic growth, national identity and nutrition.
In Thailand, pad Thai is lovingly called the national dish of Thailand and is commonly served as a street food or in local eateries. However, this stir–fried rice noodle dish which full name is called Kway teow...show more content...
Although Thailand was never colonised, the expansion of global trade and increased migration patterns allowed for the exchange of plants, animals and humans which greatly influenced the local way of life. These ingredients found in pad Thai although non–native to Thailand, were keys in creating the flavourful pad Thai and shaped the global cultural perception of Thailand – the association of pad Thai as the representative dish of Thailand until

Ever since I was a little boy, pizza has always had a special place in my heart. From pizza day in the school cafeteria to pizza parties at sleep away camp, there was nothing more exciting than when that cardboard box was opened to reveal a round pie with eight delicious slices waiting to be devoured.
Early on I learned that everybody eats their pizza differently. There are those who fold their slices in half, those who eat their slices with two hands, and those who (dare I say) like to cut their pizza with a fork and knife. Some people soak up the olive oil with a napkin, while others don't mind a greasy slice. Some people like the crust, while others live for that first bite. Some people decorate their slices with spices, while others...show more content...
The pizza is thin enough that two people can split a large pie. In fact, ordering the small pie for $2 less is not even economical.
There is no better place to digest Grimaldi's than on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade overlooking lower Manhattan. It's the only place in the city that I can be assured to find at least one bride and groom snapping photos every time I'm there. On weekend afternoons it's common to see five or six couples taking wedding photos. Walking back on the bridge, one feels content, satisfied, accomplished, and [insert positive feeling here]. There are few experiences that rival this.
The spring of 2004 took me to Italy where I spent a semester studying in Florence. At the time, I was not a big foodie, so I rarely kept track of where I ate. Today, however, if I was to return, my entire trip would be dictated by food. Although Florence is a very Americanized city, my apartment was a 20 minute walk from the center of town. One evening, while exploring the area around our apartment, my roommates and I discovered a little hole–in–the–wall restaurant on a hidden side street. There wasn't a single English speaking person in the entire place and there was no English version of the menu. Although I have no idea what this place was named, I know how to get back there
Describe My Favorite Food
My favorite foods consist of a variety of dishes one of them being warm–hot rolls. I prefer wheat with lots of butter. Made from scratch biscuits with butter and my homemade apple butter or bacon jam. Oh, my it's yummy. I also make granola bars with some butter smeared on the bottom of the pan. Another one of my favorite, unfortunately it is high in saturated fat. It is my butter crème frosting on top of a white or chocolate cake. I scoop the frosting off with Lays potato chips. These are my special treats that on occasion I enjoy.
The food that I enjoy the most is Mexican food. Burrito smothered in green chili, Carnitas, quesadillas, tacos, guacamole, are my favorite picks. With the population of Hispanics being so large in Colorado, my family enjoys eating Mexican food. The Mexican food here in North Carolina is not as good as in Colorado, but that's a personal preference.
Enjoying a mixed salad is a must. I enjoy making salads with kale, romaine lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, kale, cabbage – purple and white, red bell pepper, pickled jalapenos, sweet onions and then top it off with, avocado, or tuna or grilled chicken or salmon. Another favorite for me are my homemade soups. I use chicken or beef with the bone still in place because much of the flavor comes from the bone. I add fresh vegetable, onions, and pearl barley to make it a little hardier.
My least favorite foods are okra, sardines, pig feet, pig ears, are disgusting. The thought of eating
My Favorite Restaurants Essay
My Favorite Restaurants
As far back as I can remember, I have always liked going out to eat. Two of my favorite restaurants are Jake's and McDonald's. Though both are places to dine they have their differences in their ambiance, waiting, and expense. When deciding where to go to eat, I have three things to think about. I must consider the atmosphere or where I want to go. The amount of time I have is another consideration. The amount of money that I am able to spend is a big influence.
The atmosphere at Jake's is casual, and people came to spend several hours. Jake's has a waiting room with long, leather–topped benches to sit on while waiting. Some tables are round and some are long rectangles, so everything can fit on them. The...show more content...
There is no smoking in McDonald's.
Because Jake's is popular it fills up rapidly but does not empty out quickly.
As a result people planning to eat at Jake's they might want to consider making reservations because the wait can take up to two–hours if they do not. When customers are finally seated, a waiter is assigned to their table. The first thing the waiter does, is ask what the customers wants to drink. About three minutes later, the drinks are served. Next the waiters bring some buttered rolls to eat while the customers are waiting, and of course, there are always peanuts. Customers are encouraged to throw the hulls on the floor. After waiting about seven to ten minutes, the waiter comes back to the table and takes the customers' orders. About ten minutes later, the waiter brings out the salads and refills the customers' drinks. A half an hour later, the waiter brings out the customers' food.
There is a more rapid pace at McDonald's. Here customers have the option of driving through or dining in. The customers walk up to the counter and give their order. The food should be ready in the next two minutes. However, if the counter person gets the order wrong, the customers may have to wait longer. If the customer goes through the drive–thru, they drive up and say their order into a box operated by a person they don't see. Next they drive around to the little window, the casher takes their money. The customer then drives to the next window

" A recipe has no soul. You, as a cook, must bring soul to the recipe," Thomas Keller once said. New food brings new experiences to things. I love trying new food and experiencing new traditions from different cities, states and countries that come from a different culture. The three countries I picked are Japan, Italy and France. Some of my favorite foods come from these three countries that I am had the more experience trying which includes pasta, bread, seafood and pastries etc. I have loved seafood ever since I was little, so I wanted to expand on dishes and learn more ways seafood is used in Japan. Even though pasta gives everyone major calories, it's a must in America. I have always liked trying new pastas and it's best accompanied with bread and oil. Who doesn't love trying new desserts especially in the prime country of amazing pastries, France. I love baking which makes trying new desserts even better. So why not try new things new food and new experiences. Japan has been impacted by many food styles of other nations. They've taken them and published them to create their own unique cooking style and eating habits. China influenced Japan in 300 B.C. to use chopsticks and soy. The two religions Buddhism and Shinto influenced the the Japanese culture to be more of a diet. This created their styles of food to be simpler. A lot of dishes were vegetarian. Japan is known for being a culture with a food source that is creative. Early on many people lived in a way that
