Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation
Over summer vacation, my family and I, including my cousins and grandparents, went to Las Vegas. One of my favorite places there was going to Paris Las Vegas. It was almost sunset and my cousins and I were getting ready to go to Paris Las Vegas. I put on my shoes and was ready to walk out of our hotel room door right when my mom stopped me and told me to wear a jacket. Even though it was still summer, the nights in Las Vegas got cold. Once everyone was ready my cousins and I ran to the car. It was almost sunset and my cousin really wanted to see the sunset in the mini eiffel tower at the hotel. Once we got on the road, we got trapped in a sea of cars, busses, and other vehicles. My cousin clasped her hands over her ears. The loud city noises blared through the streets. It was hard to imagine that one city in the middle of a desert became one of the most popular resort cities in the world. As we were driving up to the hotel, we saw a gleaming mini eiffel tower on top of a elegant building. I knew that it was the french themed hotel, Paris. After getting through the traffic, my dad parked the car in the parking lot at the hotel. We took an elevator up to the 2nd floor, and when we got there, I was amazed at what stood in front of me. The interior of the hotel looked just like Paris. The roof had been painted with puffy white clouds that looked so realistic. The ground was paved with smooth, shiny, black stone. There were street lamps that are like the ones in France. There
Essay On All Summer In A Day
The short story All Summer In A Day by Ray Bradbury is about the power of jealousy and reveals how it can ruin people's respect for others. The main character in the story, Margot; is told she doesn't remember things that she does remember. The boys that who tell her that are jealous of her. The story teaches multiple lessons. However, jealousy is the largest and most important one. Jealousy is a really powerful thing that many people do not understand. It can completely control people. Jealousy can ruin people's respect and it is portrayed well in All Summer In A Day. Margot's classmates refuse to believe that she ever saw the sun and even if she did, she would not remember it. They know she did but they don't like that such a shy and rejected person has seen something so incredible that they have not seen. Margot moved to the planet Venus from Earth when she was four years old while the entire rest of her class had lived on Venus their whole lives. Everyone in the class, including Margot; were nine years old. On Venus the sun only showed itself once every seven years for a short two hours, so the rest of the class had not seen it since they were two so they did not remember what it looked like at all. Margot was disliked and rejected by her...show more content...
No one believed Margot that she saw the sun so she was told she was wrong. However, she still didn't stop participating in the sun related class activities. Her most precious memory was of the sun and it brought another theme. The jealousy theme still has more effect than cherishing what you have while you have it. When people are controlled by jealousy they never know it. When people are relieved of jealousy, they realize the wrong they did while they were controlled. All Summer In A Day can teach readers many important lessons and it is important to learn from them because it can substantially help in real
Summer Program Application Essay
The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for the real world as a careered woman. I have not yet solidified what I would like to be in the future, but as of this moment, I hope to possibly become...show more content...
I have always loved looking and participating in art classes, although I am not the best artist, and I enjoy learning about the history behind different art techniques. But I think that international relations would be something that is absolutely amazing to learn about because through this I could learn about the connections and effects that occur between so many different nations, and learn about how they interact with one another. I feel like I could provide an interesting perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this one during previous summers. I work well with others, and I always try to keep an open mind as to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards others. I am very adaptive to my surroundings even if that means changing topics within a classroom discussion. Something else about me is that I am what is known as an ambivert. This means that I sit in the scale between being and introvert and an extrovert. Although iI do tend to sway more towards the introverted side, but only for the reason that I can get lost in my own thoughts or go for hours without taking a break from a book that I am
Essay About Summer Camp
Summer Camp
It was summer of 2013 and it was my first time traveling alone. I was going to Champéry, Switzerland. I felt excited because it's a part of the world which I haven't visited before. Going to the airport by myself and going through customs was a bit of a hassle, but nothing I can't handle. When I arrived at Champéry by train, I had to walk to the camp which not that far Just a 10–minute walk. As I walked to there the scenery was breathtaking. It was so green and surrounded with mountains where you can see white peaks because of the snow. You can see the cows wandering around on the hills and hear their jiggling bells.
As I reached the camp, the manager was there greeting the new arrivals and the place we were staying at was this big 4–floor wooden house. The staff there were so friendly and welcoming. Everyone there was from different parts of the world. In the first day, they gave us a chance to go around and socialize and get familiar with the place because it'll be my home for the next 5 weeks. At first it was hard to communicate to people there because we all speak different languages, but we all know to talk English which was a life saver.
When I started to walk around and get to know people there and I was surprised on how diverse the camp was, there were Spanish, Portuguese Russians, and English and many more. When...show more content...
One day we went we went cycling, and we would get in the cable car with our bikes and head to top of the mountain and cycle our way down. This was done once a week, the first time I did it, I didn't notice a rock and it shock off my balance and I fell on the road which was full of these tiny rocks that just scraped my face. When I got up my face was bloody because of the rocks. Then I spent the rest of the day at the camp. We also went to the water park every 2 weeks which was the best part because I never went to a water park before, and for me experiencing it for the first time was
My Summer Camp Experience
This Summer, I had the best time of my life. I learned some valuable lessons, I made some friends, and I had so much fun. Even if I didn't know it. This is the story of my summer camp experience. About two months earlier had signed up for a Camp in Indiana called YMCA Camp Potawotami. My neighbor who is a year younger than me went to camp with me. We got to our summer camp on the Sunday before. I had a lot of fun, but my part of this event, is when the girls in my cabin and I became true friends.
We walked back from swim time and going onto the walk to our cabin. Our cabin was one of the older cabins, but it was nice. The building was a Wooden log building with two main hallways, one for the boys and one for the girls, which both came together in a main room that had one huge window wall, in the middle, and two other walls on the side that had one huge window in the middle.
"Ok girls, pack up your stuff for camping, but remember we're only going for one night." Our councilor ,Greer, told us. So we packed our stuff in bags and went to set up our tents.
We walked about half a mile up a grassy path with woods to the left, and a field of wheat to the right. We came to a clearing that was in the shape of a circle. With it, were two tents packed up in their tiny little bags in the middle of a circle, along with a fire pit, and a picnic table. "Ok, we need everyone to help set up, no one should be doing nothing." Kylie exclaimed, who was our second councilor After about 20
What I did this summer. That`s a good question to be honest, I did a lot of things that were considered fun for me, like shopping, hanging out with my family, hanging out with my friends, going to the beach, the water park and much more. But I will only break it down to two or three of my favorite things I did this Summer, so stick around to see what my favorite things about this Summer were. Like I said in my introduction, this paragraph will be about when I went shopping multiple times with my family. I know it might sound dumb for a first paragraph but, too me it was awesome. That's because, I love spending time with my family, especially when we're all getting along. Let me break down this day for you. First it was a good morning, my mom made me breakfast and everyone was in a good mood. My Brother was happy, my Dad was being hilarious, and my Mom just seemed like she was having a great time. Then we all got dressed, I was making sure that I looked extra stunning. So we get into the car and my favorite song comes on "Despacito" so my family and I all started singing it together. About an hour later we get to the South lake Mall and we went to four stores, Hollister, Vans, Journeys, and American Eagle. My Mom, Brother, and I all went to those four stores while my Dad went shopping somewhere else. It was going well , we were all having a fantastic time together. Then once we were done shopping we went to McDonald's got some food because, who doesn't adore McDonald`s right? Then we headed back home, it was a great day and for sure one of my favorite memories from this Summer. Keep in mind my family and I did this like 2 or 3 times this year, so it was extra fun. My second paragraph will be about when I went to Deep River Water–park with my friends, Eliot Cates, Ben Herz, Adam Collard, Cole Watson, and Alden Cates. It was honestly such a great time especially because, I was with my close friends. We went there for Eliot`s birthday. I was so excited when my Mom showed me the text saying I got invited, I got all my snacks, clothes, and towels ready, days before it was actually time for the "party". We were supposed to go on Wednesday, in July. So I get all ready and we head off for Eliot`s house, everyone
Descriptive Essay About The Summer
As the last of the snow melts from the pale green grass, the sun is beginning to assert itself with more authority each day. It runs its course through the sky, arcing higher and higher towards its apex above. It is spring, and the world is humming with the excitement of new life and warmer weather. There is a faint breeze in the air, bringing the fresh scents of spring to my nostrils. Suddenly I realize with astonishment that, even though I never noticed it, I haven't been able to smell anything outdoors in several months. This is the season in which I begin to anticipate the most exciting event of the year. I only have to make it through one more month of school, I tell myself. Then, I'll be home free. At first glance, my home is not so much different from Cedarville, but you can't replace your home with its cousin. I desire to be at home, so I can do my job. And I love my job. At last, the nine–hour ordeal is over with. I step out from a hot, fast–moving hunk of steel onto macadam that still radiates heat from the long day under the sun. The sun has long gone down by now, but it has been replaced by an eerily bright, full moon. I grin widely up at the stars and let out a shout of joy and relief as I stretch my tired arms as high and wide as they will allow. "Thank you, Lord" is the one sentence I utter, and it truly sums up everything I am feeling. This has been an amazing year at school, and God used every experience I had to mold me and shape me. I've had unanswered prayers that I thank Him for, and other prayers answered, which completely changed my life. It was a long, but good journey, and I am happy to be home. Tomorrow is a big day. I jump out of bed in the morning, as I remember before I open my eyes what I am doing today. I throw on a random assortment of clothing, grabbing whatever clothes I don't really care about. I rush down the stairs, jumping over most of them, not caring how loud my footsteps are. As I rush around the kitchen, my old routine returns to me like a lost dog. I throw together one of my favorite meals to make; the only meal I make every morning. It is the glorious and classy egg sandwich. The only problem is that I need to make a larger one every year in order to satisfy my
Narrative Essay About Summer Vacation
It was in third part of our summer vacation . We went to the park not far from where we use to live when we were younger I believe it was at least two or three blocks away from where we all lived. Whenever we went there we would always have to past thru this middle school and we go by the side of the school but there always these two rottweilers behind a fence barking and barking jumping on the fence trying to come at us but we were all use to it my little brother Austin was the main the trouble for Paul and me Steven. Any way as we walk there was this alley of the school where the trees would bridge in to each other creating a beautiful sight with a nice shade with a nice summer breeze that would blow straight into someone.
That monday morning I woke up and my friends and I thought we should play baseball that morning so I asked mom, "Can I go play baseball with my friends mom?"
Of course she said "Only If you take your two other brothers alright. "
"But mom."
"But Nothing. If you want to go you have to take your brothers. Now go wake your brothers if you want to go and tell them breakfast is ready as well." While cleaning the kitchen before she leaves to work

Summertime Essay
Summertime It was early dawn on a Friday morning, as the sun rises from the distant blue ocean we wait for daylight to breakout. My friend and I sat down on spot on the beach, as I focus closely at the surface of the waterfront the sand is very white, much like the winter snowflakes. As I look along the different points along the shore, the waves and ripple's of the salty water crash upon various sections of the beach. These include a nudist section, a gay section, and a family section, I wasn't sure but there might have been a section reserved for nude, gay families.
My friend and I unfolded our garden chairs and opened our cooler box in the family section of the beach. After putting on our sunglasses and lay on the sun block lotion,...show more content...
The pleasantly refreshing smell of the surf broke through the scent of the ocean mist. The cool breeze came towards us coming in off of the ocean water. The songs of the seagulls, and small children running about could be heard echoing around the beach.
A few hours had past and we began to get restless, I immediately insisted that we abandon the area and move to another section of the beach. After about ten minutes of walking, we decided to rest as the scorching sizzling sun began to tear through the clouds. We sat down as I drove the palm of my hand through the white sandy beach, the sand grains were transparent like fine crystal grains. The noise and activity of the family section of the beach was a distant blur to the east. We walked on the empty stretch of beach for another ten minutes until we had arrived. The twenty–minute walk had felt like a never–ending desert. We then sat back in our desired location absorbing the heat and ocean breeze.
After another several hours of lounging and drinking on the beach, The air had gotten thick, moist, smelly and hot. It felt constricting and suffocating like being stuffed inside a giant kiln. The late afternoon blistering heat wave had past as sunset had almost arrived. As the sun was setting disappearing into the distance, the light began to darken. The colour of the white clouds became grayer, the sky began to look like the colour spectrum changing from one hue and tint to another. It had gradually
Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation
In February during spring break, my Dad, nicknamed Moose, arranges a trip to stay on Seagull Lake. This is not like your ordinary trip; this is winter camping in the Boundary Waters, which requires hard work, the willingness to help out at all times, and a lot of preparation. This trip consists of cross country skiing, pulling 300 lbs on a sled across a long frozen lake, sleeping in tents in weather that is 20 degrees below zero, and portaging 2 miles to get the chance to fish on a secret fishing lake. The people that go on this 5 day trip every year are Moose, my second cousin Paul Gerten and his dog, my uncle Danny, their friend Sterling Black, and I, although Danny had knee issues for a while which didn't allow him to come this trip. The year was 2016, and Sterling decided to bring his nephew named Birkley, whose mother had just passed away. Also, Moose brought along his work friend Brett Strand from Lifetime Fitness.
We start our trip by driving up to my cabin in Silver Bay, Minnesota. The first night is a Thursday night without the old men's wives, so we go to a bar called the the Green Door where the men drink a bunch of beers and watch the wild game. Birkley and I of course only drink Coca Cola. Being the one out of the group that is too young to drink alcohol, and also the kid that can drive, I have to sober cab for the men. When we get back to the cabin, many games of cribbage are played and many more beers are finished by the men. Waking up in the morning is
Narrative Essay About My First Day Of Summer
The hot sun was beaming on my face and my back was burning from the extremely hot chair beneath me. In front of me was a small worn out diving board leaning right over the pool. Wind was blowing in my long blonde hair as it kept getting tangled in my sunglasses. Today was not any day; today was the very first day of summer 2014. I could not wait to spend the week with my friends doing whatever I wanted to. Then as my mom called me in, I thought my very first few days of summer were going to be completely ruined.
"Sydney, come inside I need to talk with you about something," my mom shouted from the back deck. I slowly got up, after being interrupted from relaxing, and walked inside to meet my mom on the kitchen counter.
"I wanted to talk to you about maybe going to a church camp," my mom started.
"Sure," I said, "When is it?"
"You would leave tomorrow and your old friend Aleah is going as well!"
"Mom, it is my very first week of summer!" I said, my voice filled with anger.
"I know but, you leave tomorrow so go pack your bags," ordered my mom.
The next morning my mom and I arrived at the church and I looked around in horror and started to worry. The parking lot was filled with cars and 3 buses; there were so many new faces. I tried to talk my mom into taking me back home where I could be relaxing and swimming with my friends, but that did not work.
After bickering with my mom about not wanting to go, she walked me into the church where I met the two
My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school vacation, and the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it's the perfect atmosphere to do outdoor activities. My favorite part about summer has to be the fact that school is closed for two months. During summer, you're free to do whatever you want, not worrying about curfew or waking up early for school. Summer time is a great time to relax with friends and family by soaking up the sun at a beach or simply having dinner together.
I love the hot and humid days that makes you want to dive into a fresh and cold pool. When summer time starts, you can wear lighter clothes, which are much more comfortable. The weather allows people to go outdoors to...show more content...
The break calls for staying up late and waking up whenever you want to. Everyone works so hard during the school year, so they deserve that free time. Summer times are stress free, relaxing, and basically fun. You don't have to worry about homework, projects, and studying for a test. One of my favorite summer pastimes is staying up late watching movies and eating junk food, and then waking up late and having brunch.
Summer season is the best time for festivals and activities. You can never get bored on a summer day or night. During the day, there are fun activities such as: swimming, sports, picnics, and barbeques. Friends and family spend a lot of time together during the summer time. There is a lot of good food, drinks, and fun music. Everyone is laughing and having a good time. Summer evenings are the best time for concerts, movies, parties, and relaxing with friends. The summer evenings are beautiful because of the sparkly and glittery city lights. One of the best events of the year, July Fourth, happens during summer. The celebration of July fourth is very extravagant and glamorous. People gather around to celebrate and watch the display of fireworks. The vibrant colors and the loud sound of the fireworks are amazing.
Overall, summer is just a wonderful season with so much to offer. The best thing about this time of the year is that everyone is so happy, whereas, compared to the winter, everyone is
Essay On Summer Vacation
Summer of 2017 was probably my best summer so far. I went to my dream place and somewhere else I have heard so much about! Before this vacation, I was so excited and I thought this place was going to be all movie stars and celebrities, but I was wrong. Over the summer I went to Los Angeles, California and Las Vegas Nevada. Now, I am not telling you about two different trips, this was all in one trip. On August fifth, 2017 we drove two hours to Indianapolis and got on a plane to go to California. The flight was about four hours, three hours and fifty– eight minutes to be exact. We had first class. My dad and sister sat next to each other and my mom and I sat next to each other. Once we landed at the airport in Los Angeles, we had to get our suitcases and our rental car. Getting our suitcases took about forty–five minutes and getting the car rental took about an hour and a half. Once we got to our hotel, it was ten o'clock p.m. their time, Twelve o 'clock a.m. our time. We were all hungry because even though we had food on the plane, most of us didn't eat it. So we ordered pizza and went to bed. The next day, we went to the Walk of Fame and saw all the movie stars names on the stars. We also went on some tours, such as TM Z. TM Z was probably my favorite thing we did there, it was so much fun! We also went to the Chinese Theater museum and went to go see the Hollywood sign, from afar. We also went to this very nice restaurant, my dad enjoyed a lot. The next few days, we

Samantha Young and her mom Rebecca Young never saw eye to eye. Her mom planned on breaking the news to her that she will attend a summer camp that summer. It was almost the end of the spring semester and Samantha would soon be on summer vacation from school. The last day of the semester and she came from school, Samantha dashed through the mahogany double front door of their house and ran up the steep stairs heading towards her room. From her bedroom there was a loud screeching sound from Samantha slamming her body onto her leopard print queen size comforter, then her mom immediately walks into her room behind her.
"Honey what's the matter?" she asked in a concerned voice.
Samantha with her face in her pillow murmurs "Nothing mom," she starts to sit upright so her mom could hear her properly. Samantha removed her short brunette bang which hindered her puppy brown eyes from seeing the concerned look on her mom's face. "I just couldn't wait for the semester to end so I can begin my summer vacation. I have so many exciting things in mind that we can do."
Samantha not knowing that her mom had already decided to send her to a Camp. Rebecca looked at her with confusion in her eyes, because now she must break the news to Samantha about the plans she has for her.
"Samantha, I have already made plans for you to attend camp this summer, it'll be a great experience and it will help you grow spiritually." Doesn't that sound like a fun idea?" Rebecca asked.

Essay On Summer And Winter
Summer vs. Winter what is the difference? The four seasons are a way for Mother Nature show us the big differences on what type of clothing, food, and activities that we should be wearing depending on the temperature outside. Especially, Summer and Winter whose extremes can determine how much our life changes during those seasons. Most of the time, between summer and winter a person's daily activities, and habits are completely different. Usually, the main reason for a person to like or dislike a certain season is because of the extreme temperature change. Most people believe that winter is more relaxing than summer because winter has better food, activities, and more comfortable clothing to wear. There are many differences...show more content...
A study taken by Northern Illinois University shows that parents usually have no problem sending their kids outside in the summer months when the sun is shining, and it is warm outside. When the weather changes from sunny, and hot to cold and dreadful is when parents have a little less trust sending their children into the colder weather. The study states that sending your child to play outside in the winter months improves their immune system, stimulates the brain leading to a better imagination, and it promotes problem solving skills. For example, children playing outside in the winter rather than playing video games inside are more likely to be able to solve real life problems and they are more outgoing when it comes to making friends. These are the many reasons to travel to popular destinations and have fun with the activities of summer or winter. There is a wide range of foods that people eat from summer to winter. For instance, being from Minnesota people are really into grilling and cooking food on the fire in the summer months but in the winter people like cooking soups and broths on the stove and in crockpots. In summer, because it is always so hot outside people would like to eat cold food like ice cream to keep them cooled down in the heat. During winter however, because it is
Persuasive Essay About Summer School
Some schools have their year set up for almost an all year round type of deal, but there are some schools that have that big summer vacation. The difference between the two is the all year round you still get a summer vacation but only a month because through the school year you get breaks all the time and they are long. Whether the traditional one you have a long summer vacation because you do not get a lot of breaks during the school year, you get breaks but not for very long. I do not care as much as others because no matter what you are getting almost the same amount of days off just during different times and I actually like the fact that you get long breaks during the school year and then get a month off and that it honestly not as bad...show more content...
If they had the balanced my doing summer school would take up my whole summer vacation, whether with the traditional one I have a month and something weeks of summer vacation, I will not be completely filled with school literally all year round. I mean it is a good thing because then I will actually do better in school, but I just do not like how short the summer is. I like the fact that it will make the school year go by fast because we will not get piled on with work constantly we actually get breaks between it all. The traditional school year I do not like how many days we go straight through the school year, because then we do not really have time to do fun things with our family during certain seasons we are in school. I get why they would want to go back to the balanced calendar because not many teenagers and children are working on the farms, but there are some teenagers out there that are trying to get jobs during the summer to actually grow up and show that they are
Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation
Summer vacation! The beach! The mountains! Friends! Airplanes! Then, there was me with no plans, just drawing and eating, and other monotonous things, very repetitive. If someone asked, "What is something new and interesting you did this summer?" I would of had to reply with, "I tasted a new potato chip flavor, it was good. What did you do?", but that wasn't the case, because my parents then all of a sudden, in the very last minute scheduled a vacation, It was a three day vacation. The vacation consisted my family going to New Hampshire, Maine, then Boston. First of all, if you didn't know, New Hampshire is located South West from Maine. Go north, then wow! Hello Canada! Next, Maine is located South and a little West from New Brunswick, one of the provinces in Canada. Fun fact, Fredericton is the capital of News Brunswick! Lastly, Boston is Massachusetts' capital and largest city. Another fun fact, it's one of the oldest cities in the U.S. The people that are involved in the events are me, of course, others are my sister, mother, father, and the people of the inn and hotel. A delightful and enjoyable summer vacation! Our first stop, New Hampshire as I introduced it, it is South West from Maine, it's capital is Concord. When we first entered New Hampshire, there were buildings, students, and workers walking everywhere in different directions. It actually, sort of reminded me of New York City, of course New York City was more crowded, had more large buildings, and different, but still it reminded me of New York City. My family went to New Hampshire riding a car, so we had been in the car for seven hours. Well we kept driving North, the outside started to change, the buildings became less more common, then before I knew it there were trees in everywhere, just no trees on the path we drove on. There were yellow deer crossing signs ornamented the tall and green trees. Then when we arrived at the inn, I mean to go to the inn, we took like three stops to ask where this inn was. The inn was around trees, were we had to park the car was not the parking lot you would see normally. The parking lot had no lines to indicate where to park. It was just covered in small rocks as tiny pebbles, gravel, sand, and etc. The
Descriptive Essay About Summer Camp
Many Canadian children look forward to one thing all year: camp. Whether they spend the summer in the Canadian wilderness, or at one of the many camps located in their city, summer camp is a staple memory for many. Camp is where lifelong memories and friendships are made, where kids get to return to school and tell their friends about the canoe trip they went on, the cool painting they made, or their funny counsellors. Summer camp is the experience that influences, and changes, many lives.
I went to summer camp from the time I was 5 to the time I was 15. I always went to day camps, ranging from camps based on school campuses, to sewing camp, to cooking camp. Even though I was lucky enough as a child to experience many different summer camps, my six years at Bayview Glen Day Camp will always be my favourite. I loved that each unit only had kids my age, and that they were names after fun, exotic animals.
Bayview Glen was the camp I went to for the longest. It appealed to my parents because of the door to door pick up on school busses, each with an individual name based off a food. At the age of 5, my parents put me on one of the many school buses, and off I went to be one of BVG's newest Hippo campers. My mom, although incredibly trusting of the two teenagers she stuck me on a bus with, was nervous. Would I have fun? Would I be safe? Would I miss her? Did "peanut free" really mean peanut free? As it turns out, the only one who did any crying that day was her. I came home from camp so excited that I would get to return to the busy scene of the luscious green field we met on every morning.
Fast forward through my years as a camper in the Lynx unit, as a camper in the Cheetah unit, as a camper in the Jaguar unit, and as a camper in the Tiger unit, where each summer was full of fun, and where each summer ended in many tears and lots of hope for the next. When I was little, all I wanted to do was work at camp.
I walked into the camp on the first day of pre–camp, not knowing anyone else out of the 500 staff. After quietly sitting for a short time, I started talking to the people I sat between, discovering all three of us were first time staff. The three of us sat there, representing the Panda, Jaguar, and Tiger

Do you know the reason why we have summer vacation? For that rest of the day we went to a restaurant called Puckett's and apparently it is right down the road from Justin Timberlake's recording studio/private house, All of the kids including me went to his front and touched his door knob and I might of took a sneak peek inside his house. The last day we were there we visited a beautiful waterfall, even though it was a lovely site the water part was very deadly. The reason why it was deadly was there were big boulders everywhere you stepped, and there were water moccasins which are venomous snakes that lurked around in the water. When it was time to live the waterfall a water moccasin was about 20 feet in front of me and my friends, thankfully another guy ran into the water scaring the snake away making it safe for me and my buddies to get out. Honestly out of the whole entire summer this had to be my favorite vacation.
This next vacation isn't really a vacation it's more of an event but it was fun, hilarious, and relaxing like a vacation. After Tennessee we went seven days later we went to Detroit, Michigan for this thing called a muck fest. A muck fest is 5k with muddy obstacles that you run into on your way to the finish line. The race only lasted 2 hours for my mom, dad, and other family members to finish. The best part was when I was able to do the last three obstacles and get
Summer Vacation Essay
Summer Vacation Essay The most eventful thing that I have done this summer was to go and visit the Indianapolis Zoo. I had a really great time especially in hindsight. There were tons of amazing animals and I got to see some relatives of mine. It was a very long and eventful day even more so when you compare it to the rest of my summer. I'd even go as far to say the drive there and back alone was enough to make this the most eventful day of the summer! That day I woke up and did my normal morning routine; I took a relaxing hot shower, used the restroom, ate breakfast (yum), brushed my teeth, then I opened my bedroom closet to choose my outfit and get dressed for the eventful day to come. I then left my room to see a frantic mess of my siblings and mom getting ready for the trip. Now naturally I was told we were going to the zoo last night, however with my terrible memory (my memory is most definitely not something to be proud about...) I forget about the whole entire ordeal. After overhearing my two sisters screaming and fighting about getting dressed, I thought to myself "How is it that there room is much bigger than ours"(my brother and I share a room and so do my two sisters) "and yet they fight over getting dressed in it twice as much as we do?". Then I suddenly remembered that today was the trip to the zoo. I then went to go put on sunscreen because I already had a bad experience with sunburns earlier in the summer (ouch). After applying a nice coat of sunscreen I was ready minuets before my two sisters were (as always). Now the drive there wasn't too eventful, but it was nice to see the scenery of Indianapolis; I saw statues, gigantic fountains, and skyscrapers ( the next one always seemed to always stretch higher than the last). As soon as we made it to the zoo my family and I promptly went inside to use the bathrooms (which had some cool animal art on the stalls). Afterwards there was a bird show where the birds flew around and did some tricks. I thought to myself "This is a little gimmicky." but it was still fun. Then I suddenly noticed pair familiar faces approaching us, It was my oldest sister (who is a adult and no longer lives with us) and her 2 year old son (They arrived late as always...).
