Current Events Analysis: US Papal Visit 2015
The current event that will be analyzed in this paper is the Papal visit to the United States in September 2015, some of the threats that were present during this event, and the security measures surrounding it. It was the seventh visit of the Pope to the United States, and the first one since 1984. Pope Francis, his attention to the common people, and his stances on issues has made him both a very popular and a very controversial public figure, and the United States government has taken his safety while on American soil very seriously.

Conclusion
Following the Pope's visit, President Obama took time after that busy week to make a statement to reporters on the South Lawn, thanking the Secret Service for its hard work that week in protecting the president, the Pope, foreign leaders at the General Assembly, and the public (Fabian, 2015).
Ultimately, the US Papal Visit was free of incident, and we may never know what threats were averted, if any. It is still impressive to examine the amount of preparation, contingency planning, and preventative measures were put in place for the Pope's visit and to consider that apart from having possibly averted threats, we have the level of organization in place that these events may never even take off the ground due to the high level of awareness and security our nation takes as a matter of course in the current world environment and high threat of terrorist

I have an afghan friend named Haisha. We met in the 6th grade at Greenfield Elementary School and became best friends. On April 13, 2017 our military, under orders from President Trump dropped the Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) in Afghanistan to kill Isis fighter. While I understand the president's responsibility is to protect our country from it's enemies, it should not be done with the blatant disregard for innocent human lives. A bomb of that magnitude has repercussion will beyond it's one mile radius impact. In addition, to the number of innocent fatalities the environmental affects will be felt for years to come. My 2 older brothers attended college. Stephen graduated from West Chester University and works for Vanguard. While David graduates from Amherst College on the the 21st of this month. He's expected to work for Fox News. As the baby of the bunch, I'm expected to keep the educational ball rolling. I choose to spend the next fours years in college because I feel like a 4–year school is the right place for me. Here are some reasons why I choose to spend the next 4 years in college. First of all, to receive a well–rounded education. At the undergraduate level, colleges and universities require that students take courses in an exceedingly range to assist students understand what areas of study are best for them, as well offer a broad base of academic knowledge. Second of all, to be eligible to have your dream job. As I examine job listings for entry level positions, I notice that many jobs require a bachelors degree. Finishing for a degree at a 4–year college or university will give me the academic skills I need to be prepared for the demands for my future jobs. Studies have shown that employees who have graduated from 4–year colleges and universities tend to earn more money than students with associates degrees or high school diplomas. My reasoning for choosing Arcadia are quite simple. It is a respected and representable school that has an excellent Computer Science Program, coupled with the fact that it provides a quaint study

The foundation of the German banking system is well developed. Germany was the first bureau in Europe, and joined the World Bank in 1952. Banks in Germany are what holds the country's investment capital and are controlled by universal banks, which are able to offer a variety of banking, and savings. In addition, the universal banks make up three–fourths of total business, and play as shareholders in the country's industrial firm. Deutsche Bundesbank is the central bank of Germany and its obligation is to oversee economic growth, develop the banking and financial system and stability in the economy. The central bank is who funds the government, and sets in motion the investment in the public sector. "With the desire of economic growth, the central bank should attempt to maintain internal price stability, by adopting different interest rates (Bravenewcoin, 2017)".
" With the launch of European monetary union and the introduction of the euro at the beginning of 1999, this task was transferred to the Eurosystem ( Bravenewcoin, 2016)". "The German currency is the euro, although the euro is not the "German money", it is what

When the majority of people think of summer they think of it as a easy–going time of year with beautiful weather, but it is not all fun and sunshine for everyone around the world, or even in our own country. Major events are happening all the time, whether they are broadcasted in the news or not. In this paper I will be talking about a few events that happened over the summer, and how they impacted the world.
The first event occurred on August 17, 2017. According to New York Times, and Telegraph Co. UK, what happened on this day is as an act of terrorism, a van violently rammed through a crowd of nearly one hundred in Barcelona, Spain near Las Ramblas, a popular tourist destination. This event killed at least 13 people, and...show more content...
I am thankful today that none of these people were seriously injured or ever missing, because I know that is not the case for everyone. As goes for how it impacted the world, I think that it shows us that accidents can happen at anytime to anyone, even to the most experienced of people. The last event has been ongoing since mid March 2017, but on July 21, 2017 was named the largest and worst Cholera outbreak. According to Aljazeera News, in the Asian country of Yemen, over 360,000 cases have been suspected and over 2,000 people are dead because of it in this war torn country. Cholera is a disease that is spread by contaminated food or water, and causes pain in the abdomen and severe nausea and vomiting. Sadly, according to the World Food Program, "Over 17 million Yemenis do not know where their next meal will come from." I believe this impacted myself because it showed me to be grateful for my health, and the privilege i have of getting vaccinated for serious diseases. I believe the world has been impacted because it is the largest case ever and people are starting to take more action on the spreading and prevention of diseases in all countries. Even though these events are not directly connected in anyway, a common theme I found between all of them is that people in these situations keeping an attitude of hope. These are clearly not ideal situations you want to find yourself in, but in any of these situations

Current Event: Week Four Once again, another conspiracy theorist, David Meade, claims the world is ending on September 23rd, 2017. Supposedly, Planet X will crash into the Earth and wipe out everything on this planet. Meade, a wealthy research scientist, who has three different books on "Planet X" made this claim about a week ago. The "end of the world" has happened six times already, based on the six people who have made this argument. Each time, they were all proved wrong and came up with an excuse as to why the world turned out perfectly fine. After the 23rd, Meade will be just another conspiracy theorist proven wrong. His claim was dismissed by NASA stating that "if Planet X were real... astronomers would have been tracking it for the...show more content...
However, a source from Globalfirepower.com claims that the military budget for North Korea is $10 billion, while the United State's budget is nearly $582.7 billion. That is nearly a $572.7 billion difference.
Furthermore, within the month of September, China has ordered North Korean companies and joint ventures to close in exactly 120 days, due to the U.N. sanctions. The U.N has also banned North Korea's cap fuel supplies and textile exports because of the six nuclear tests this month. Their decision was to ensure the safety of the citizens of North Korea and I believe it was the right decision. In my opinion, the continuous back and forth threats show that both leaders do not want to go to war, but their initial goal is to gain a certain reputation. For example, Trump stated that if "forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea" (Onyanga–Omara). The use of the word "totally" reminds me of a teenager speaking to their friends, like "I'm totally going to the mall today". I'm interested to know what the final outcome will be and hopefully, it won't lead to a World War 3. We must hope that these threats are just for show, in order to scare North Korean citizens and American citizens.

Current Events Report Wednesday, January 6, 2016, North Korea made an announcement that their hydrogen bomb testing was successful, resulting in "raised cries of indignation from the international community". In the past the U.N had implemented sanctions against North Korea for continuing their development in nuclear weapons in 2006, 2009, 2013. Yet despite this, on Monday March 14, 2016, DPRK Today reported that a fifth test would be run and a new test involving ballistic missiles would also be included. Mr. Jongun had explained that the reason his country is now involving ballistic missiles is ". . . [so that] the warheads [are able] to survive heat and turbulence...show more content...
. . to reshuffle party officials, bolster his grip on power and present significant new state policies." Although the young leader has stated that the Byungjin line (a program intended not only to boost the country's economy but also to expands its nuclear weapons), does have at its core the people's interest as a priority, the numbers are showing that only a small amount of North Korean citizens are benefitting. Kim Jongun, has mentioned before that he wants the world to look up to his strong country as a nuclear power, rather than just a mere country with multiple sanctions shouting big words. This in the past has led to various consequences from hegemonies all around the world who feel threatened by the implications of a young tyrant in charge of ICBMs. This is a clear example of the security dilemma in which the entire world, the anarchy that it is, has to control minor nations that strive for hegemony at the expense of the larger nations' security and loss of leverage. Unfortunately, it seems that despite the clear warnings from the superior nations, the North Korean dictator has no interest in abiding by international rules and is far more fascinated with realist ideologies of projections of power.

On Monday night, Denver city council passed an immigration ordinance that forbids city officials from asking about anyone's immigration status or requiring anyone to discuss it. This law makes it difficult for the federal government to track and arrest immigrants. As a result, people have become fearful that these immigrants will cause harm to the public. Many people are afraid of the unknown and seeing the kind of damage immigrants have done, automatically makes them assume that every immigrant is the same. For example, the field director of ICE made a statement that "this irresponsible ordinance...deliberately obstructs our country's lawful immigration system..and undermines public safety" (Murray). Even though 800,000 is a minuscule number compared to the millions of people living in the United States, none of these people deserve to be deported. Their entire lives are here, including family, friends, significant others, jobs, schools, etc. Imagine working towards a life you've always dreamed about, only to have it taken away. The children who were brought here illegally deserve a chance. The protest was truly an interesting experience since it was the first protest I've ever been to.
Everyone was there to show their passion for this issue and thousands of people were brought together because of it. Some people were passionate enough to walk 6 miles to attend the protest. For those of us who know people that may get deported or those who may be deported, we must stay strong and hopeful that Congress can save the dream act.

Emotions are high right now in the United States. Americans are upset with the National Football League over a very personal issue. Many Americans can relate to this in a personal way because they have family members or loved ones in the military. Kneeling during the National Anthem shows disrespect to our military, our citizens, and our nation.
One reason Americans are distressed is they have family members or loved ones who have died in the wars for our country, and kneeling during the anthem shows disrespect to our soldiers and veterans. The players that are kneeling are showing that they don't care about the sacrifices our military makes on a daily basis. Furthermore, soldiers risk life and limb every single day to give Americans the freedom we have today. The United States has soldiers all over the world to help protect our freedom. However very few Americans have the bravery to go out and fight for our country and when players don't even have the respect to stand for our anthem it angers the citizens of America. Another reason kneeling during the anthem is so disrespectful is because the soldiers of our military get paid very little money for the huge sacrifices they make while NFL...show more content...
Therefore, Americans recount to this in a very personal matter. When the players of the NFL kneel during the anthem, not only do they feel disrespected, but they feel their loved ones that they have lost are being disrespected. With this being such a personal issue for many American citizens, it is a very essential subject to be addressed. Therefore, the NFL should be preventing the players kneeling, and not just encumbrancing it. The NFL is not addressing the issue the way it should be. This has angered the hearts of many Americans back home who watch the disrespect on National

Analysis of a Current Event
The debate over rather or not NFL players should be allowed to kneel during the National Anthem has been a very heated topic in our country for the past year and a half. In my opinion it is very disrespectful for any player, in any venue to exhibit such conduct during any sporting event! It is sheer disrespect for our flag which represents the fighting men and women who have died for this great country. Not to mention the fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters, left behind from those who have given their all, and perished in some foreign land! Stop and think about it! Hundreds of thousands of brave men and women have fought in battle after battle to keep this country free. To each and every...show more content...
If you don't believe that it does, just open the Facebook app on your phone and take a look. If your newsfeed is like mine, then it is filled top to bottom with people commenting on what is going on in the NFL. Some of those post support the players right to kneel while many other post are condemning it. That is just one prime example of how this issue and these players actions have, and will continue to drive a wedge between the opposing sides of this issue. Personally, I love living in the United States of America, and I believe it is the greatest country on earth, and it really agitates me to see these spoiled professional athletes running our country down. Merle Haggard said it best with his hit song "Fighting Side of Me", when he said "when you're running down our country hoss your walking on the fighting side of me!" Don't get me wrong, this is the land of the free and the home of the brave! Which means you are free to peacefully protest almost anywhere you like, as long as you are willing to face the consequences of your decisions. I think that is what these players are forgetting. Nobody is saying they don't have to right to protest. However, when you choose to do so during the middle of the National Anthem there is going to be an uproar from the hard working, blue collar, middle class residents of this country, because for the most part they are the ones have fought for
